About

A Wisconsin native, I grew up spending most of my time outdoors in the rain, sun, or sub-zero temperatures. Nature was my first love, art was my second. I spent a lot of time with coloring books as a kid and on the many road trips I took with my family, I would set up camp in the back seat of the van and draw for hours, trying to imitate Bill Watterson's Calvin & Hobbes in my sketchbooks.

As I got to high school, I developed a passion for paint and how it behaves. I worked for more than a decade and took courses at the UW-Madison, trying everything from kinesiology to art history to psychology, always seeking something I enjoyed that I could make into a career because, like many artists, I grew up hearing art was not a "real" option.

Finally, thankfully, I found the confidence and circumstances to just go for what I love. I am currently a graphic designer working in Madison, reveling in every minute. I hope my work conveys my growth in and passion for design. Cheers to doing what you love!
